What are quality standards at Kern?

Before each start of an order, a part of each drawing dimension is checked and documented. (internal initial sampling) When all dimensions are within tolerance, the series is started. During series production, test plans regulate the measuring frequency, and SPC evaluations can be generated via our Zeiss PiWeb.

Does Kern produce turned parts?

Basically, we are not a supplier for turning operations, but we manufacture parts that would initially be assumed to be in the turning area, but which are in our area due to special requirements with regard to microtechnology and accuracy.

Do we take your used KERN machines in payment?

What maintenance options do we offer for your Kern machine?

We offer our customers a maintenance contract that has been specially adapted to each type of machine. Based on our many years of experience, we have developed a 3-stage model.

Our regular maintenance of your Kern machine guarantees durability, reliable operation and high value retention. In addition, maintenance prevents more expensive repairs, protects you from longer downtimes and reduces production downtime costs to a minimum.

How do we deal with an acute service request from our customers?

Ticket system

Our Kern service works with a ticket system. Each of your enquiries or orders is assigned to a special ticket ID. This ID makes it easier for you and us to communicate with each other, as everything is documented in this ticket ID. That is why it is important that you always state your ticket ID as a reference.

Telephone support

Our in-house telephone support is carried out entirely by highly experienced and well-trained Kern service technicians. We analyse your problem and find a solution as quickly as possible.

Solution on site

During a service visit, our service technicians will be on site within the shortest possible time, after consultation with you, in order to rectify the fault.

How long does it take to process an order for spare parts?

For standard spare parts that are in stock, we expect a processing time of approx. 1-2 days until the goods leave our premises.

For special spare parts that are not in stock, the delivery date depends on the availability of our suppliers. We are happy to inform you about the current delivery time.
