We have all the key technologies in-house to produce components with an accuracy of 2 µm. We combine high-precision milling, micro-milling and -drilling, wire and die-sinking EDM as well as lapping and surface grinding. For complex machining processes, we design individual automation equipment for series production. We reliably cover surface coatings and other manufacturing processes through our pool of suppliers.

High-precision measurement is a prerequisite for the production of micro and ultra-precision parts. The measuring and testing equipment used in Kern contract manufacturing is correspondingly extensive and of high quality. They comprise more than 1,500 different measuring and testing devices, which are regularly calibrated according to ISO 9001 requirements. The Kern measuring laboratory is kept at a constant temperature of ± 0.5 K and is equipped with five high-end measuring machines.
In 1981 the shop needed a particularly precise machine. Since it was not available on the market, our engineers developed the first own Kern machine for different applications. Today, Kern's CNC machining centers are known around the globe for their reliable high-precision manufacturing.
This is a great advantage for our customers: In our Kern shop, the Kern machines ensure the best results for the most demanding applications 24 / 7. Also, experience and results from our shop go right back into the development of our Kern CNC precision machines.
